PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL ADDICTION RECOVERY

A Clear Path Toward Lasting Recovery

ABOUT TURNING POINT

A Safe Place to Start Again

Turning Point is a leading addiction treatment centre providing a structured, supportive environment where real recovery can begin.

We understand how overwhelming it can feel, whether you are struggling with substance abuse yourself or watching someone you love slowly lose control. Taking the first step toward rehab or detox is often the hardest, and that is where we come in.

Our programmes are designed to support individuals through safe, medically guided detox and comprehensive addiction treatment, combining medical care, therapeutic counselling, and structured daily living.

In a calm, professionally managed residential setting, individuals are given the space to step away from the chaos of addiction, regain clarity, and begin rebuilding their lives.

This is not just about stopping substance use.
It is about starting again, safely, with professional support, and with a clear path toward long term recovery.

OUR APPROACH

A Structured Path to Lasting Recovery

Recovery is not a single moment or decision. It is a process that unfolds step by step, with the right support at the right time.

At Turning Point, we provide a structured continuum of care designed to guide individuals from the first stage of detox through to long term recovery and independent living.

Our approach is built around accountability, professional care, and real life recovery outcomes. We focus not only on helping individuals stop using, but on helping them rebuild a life they can sustain.

Our programmes are built around accountability, therapeutic depth, and long-term recovery outcomes.

Medically Supported Detox

The first step is often the most critical.

Our medically supported detox programme provides a safe, supervised environment where individuals can withdraw from substances under professional care. With medical monitoring and support, we help stabilise both the body and mind, preparing each person for the next stage of recovery.

Primary Residential Treatment

Once stabilised, individuals move into a structured residential treatment environment.

Here, we focus on breaking the cycle of addiction through therapeutic counselling, daily structure, and accountability. This phase helps individuals understand their addiction, develop coping strategies, and begin building a strong recovery foundation.

Clinical & Medical Support

Recovery requires more than one type of support.

Turning Point provides ongoing clinical and medical care through a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists. This ensures that each individual receives comprehensive, personalised care throughout their journey.

Halfway House

Recovery does not end after treatment. It continues in the real world.

Our halfway house programme, Seymour House, provides a structured and supportive living environment where individuals can transition back into daily life while remaining accountable and connected to a recovery community.

This phase focuses on building routine, responsibility, and independence, while still offering the support needed to maintain long term recovery.

Take the First Step Toward Recovery

You do not have to have all the answers to start.

If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, the most important step is reaching out. Recovery does not begin with a programme. It begins with a conversation.

Our team is here to listen, guide you through your options, and help you take the next step with clarity and confidence. Whether you are ready to begin treatment or simply need advice, we are here to support you.

OUR PROGRAMME

Structured Recovery in a Safe, Supportive Environment

Turning Point provides a professionally guided addiction treatment programme designed to help individuals break free from substance abuse and begin rebuilding stable, healthy lives.

We understand that addiction affects every part of a person’s life, and recovery requires more than willpower. It requires the right environment, the right support, and a clear, structured path forward.

Our programme combines medically supported care, therapeutic counselling, and structured daily living within a safe residential setting. This allows individuals to step away from the pressures and triggers of everyday life and fully focus on recovery.

Each stage of the programme is designed to help individuals stabilise, gain insight into their addiction, and develop the tools needed to maintain long term recovery.

This is not just a place to stop using.
It is a place to rebuild, reset, and move forward with purpose.

A Comfortable, Supportive Living Environment

Recovery is not only about treatment. It is also about feeling safe, comfortable, and supported in your environment.

Our residential programme offers well maintained, shared accommodation with no more than three residents per room, creating a balance between personal space and a sense of community.

Each room includes an en suite bathroom, providing privacy and comfort during the recovery process.

The residence also features shared living spaces, including a kitchen, dining area, and gym facilities, encouraging routine, connection, and healthy daily living.

This environment is designed to help individuals feel settled, supported, and focused as they move through each stage of recovery.

A Structured Timeline for Recovery

Recovery is a process, and each individual’s journey is unique. At Turning Point, our programme is designed to provide the right level of care at each stage.

The process typically begins with a medically supported detox period of 5 to 14 days, depending on the individual’s needs and substance use history. This phase focuses on safe stabilisation under professional medical supervision.

Following detox, clients move into a structured residential treatment programme lasting approximately 4 to 6 weeks. During this time, the focus shifts to understanding addiction, building healthy routines, and developing the tools needed for long term recovery.

From here, many individuals continue their journey through our extended support environment at Seymour House, allowing for a gradual and supported transition back into everyday life.

Each step is designed to build on the last, creating a clear and supported path toward lasting recovery.

Professional Care, Personalised Recovery

At Turning Point, recovery is guided by a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals who understand the complexity of addiction and the importance of individualised care.

Our team includes doctors, nurses, social workers, counsellors, psychologists, and occupational therapists, all working together to support each person through every stage of recovery.

The programme is designed to address not only substance use, but the underlying emotional, psychological, and behavioural patterns that drive it.

What the Programme Includes

Each individual participates in a structured therapeutic programme that includes:

* Individual therapy focused on personal recovery goals
* Group therapy providing shared experience, accountability, and support
* Trauma and family counselling to address deeper underlying issues
* Personal health and wellbeing support to rebuild both physical and emotional stability

A Personalised Approach to Recovery

No two recovery journeys are the same.

Each resident follows a personalised treatment plan tailored to their specific needs, challenges, and long term goals. This ensures that recovery is not only effective in the short term, but sustainable in everyday life.

A Proven Recovery Framework

Our approach is grounded in internationally recognised treatment models, including the Minnesota Model and the 12 Step recovery framework.

This combination provides structure, accountability, and a strong foundation for long term recovery within a supportive community.

Building Stability, Routine, and Real Life Recovery

Recovery is not only about treatment sessions. It is about learning how to live differently each day.

At Turning Point, residents follow a structured daily routine designed to create stability, accountability, and a sense of purpose. This structure helps individuals move away from the unpredictability of addiction and begin building consistency in their lives.

Each day includes a balance of therapeutic work, recovery meetings, wellness activities, and time for personal reflection. This allows individuals to process their experiences, develop new habits, and strengthen their recovery in a supportive environment.

Preparing for Life Beyond Treatment

Our environment is built around community, shared responsibility, and practical life skills.

Residents learn how to manage daily routines, take responsibility for themselves, and reconnect with a healthier way of living. These are the foundations that support long term recovery beyond treatment.

The goal is not only to help individuals stop using, but to help them return to life with the confidence, structure, and tools needed to stay well.

Understanding Recovery

Substance Dependence & Mental Health

Addiction can take many forms, and no two recovery journeys are the same.

For some, it begins as a way to cope. For others, it develops gradually over time. What many people share is the feeling of losing control, and not knowing how to find a way back.

At Turning Point, we provide structured, professional support for individuals struggling with substance dependence and related mental health challenges. We understand that addiction is not only physical. It also affects emotional wellbeing, thinking patterns, and daily functioning.

Our programmes are designed to support the whole person, helping individuals stabilise, regain clarity, and begin addressing the underlying challenges that contribute to addiction.

Conditions We Commonly Support

The areas below reflect some of the most common challenges we see within our treatment programmes. Each is approached through a combination of clinical care, therapeutic support, and structured daily recovery.

Whether someone is seeking help for themselves or reaching out for a loved one, the goal remains the same. To provide a safe, supportive path toward recovery and a life that is manageable, meaningful, and sustainable.

Alcohol Addiction

When Drinking Starts to Take Control

Alcohol addiction often develops gradually, and it can be difficult to recognise when drinking has become a problem. What may start as social or occasional use can begin to affect health, relationships, work, and daily life. Many people find themselves trying to cut back or stop, only to realise that it is harder than expected. For families, it can be just as painful to watch someone they love struggle, often feeling unsure of how to help. At Turning Point, we understand that alcohol dependence is not simply about willpower. It is a condition that requires the right support, structure, and professional care. Through medically supported detox and a structured treatment programme, individuals are able to safely stop drinking, stabilise both physically and emotionally, and begin rebuilding their lives. Recovery is possible. With the right support, long term sobriety and a stable, healthy life can be achieved.

Drug Addiction

Drug addiction occurs when the repeated use of substances begins to affect a person’s health, behaviour, and ability to function in daily life. Dependence can develop on both illegal drugs and prescription medications. With medical support, therapeutic care, and a structured recovery environment, individuals can safely break the cycle of substance dependence and begin long-term recovery.

Prescription Medication Dependence

Prescription medication dependence can develop even when medications are taken as prescribed. Over time, drugs such as painkillers, sedatives, or anti-anxiety medications can lead to physical or psychological dependence. With proper medical supervision, therapeutic support, and structured care, individuals can safely reduce reliance on these medications and regain control of their health and wellbeing.
